A Prayer I Can?t Recall
Verse 1:
I met a man in the hotel that mornin?
We talked about the day
And then he asked, are you a Christian?
And I knew just what to say
Bridge 1:
And then he asked, ?Have you met Jesus??
And I could not agree
He shook his head and said, ?it?s not that way, you see?
Verse 2:
Somehow I think, he had no doubt
That he should then confess
Would you like to meet our Savior now
He knew I would say yes
Bridge2:
He asked if I would like to pray
A prayer I can?t recall
Suddenly, I knew, it was my day to fall
Verse 3:
I saw a friend that very next day
Who I?d known for many years
He knew I was a believer now
He could see it in my tears
Bridge 3: Out:

Description
|
Short Song Description: This is a song about the day I got saved.
|
Long Song Description: Lyrically, it's a little awkward, because I kept the first draft and didn't change anything. Little did I know, this would be the way all of the songs on this album where written. There's a lot between the lines... believe me.
|
Story Behind the Song: I got saved in a hotel lobby in downtown Dallas, Texas, back in 1986, while attending a Dr. Phil seminar, (yeah, the Dr. Phil of the Dr. Phil show).
The song was written not too long after that.
Anyway, the man in the first and second verse's name
